Senior Contracts Manager (Military, Safety & Cargo - Oxygen)

Job Description:

Administer contracts, act as the liaison between the corporate client and the contractor's employees performing the contract, determine compliance with the contract terms, answer questions related to the contract, resolve issues as appropriate, and work with attorneys and internal client as necessary.

(Contractor Level 4 - Manager, Supply Chain Contracts)

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Supply Chain Contracts within the Supply Chain Contracts team, this is a strategic role within the Legal, Contracts and Compliance function. This position coordinates with business partners on allocated supply chain contract matters, manages a complex portfolio of allocated supplier contracts, communicates with Interiors supply chain leadership, to develop and execute such contracts.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Provides guidance to stakeholders daily for allocated projects.
* Drafts, generates, negotiates, interprets, and manages complex contract documents for allocated suppliers, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.
* Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure allocated contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters, in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
* Negotiates allocated supplier contracts with its stakeholders, to achieve business favourable terms.
* Reviews allocated contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as assessing the risk and impact.
* Uses legal resources and other subject matter experts to ensure all levels of risk are recognized and subsequently addressed through development of unique contract terms.
* Briefs management and other functional areas on contract status, risk mitigation and contingency plans based on developed recommendations, for allocated contracts.
* Identifies opportunities to streamline workflow and improve quality of work product. Brings forward recommendations to increase efficiencies through use of tool or process enhancements.
* Track and report key functional metrics.
* Represents the organization on legal issues for allocated contracts.
* Maintains historical legal records.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience; OR
* Advanced Degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience; OR
* In the absence of a degree, 10 years of experience is Required

Preferred Qualifications:
* Juris Doctorate or Advanced Degree in Business Administration
