Ingredients needed for Bite Size Apple Pies:

  • sugar
  • ground cinnamon
  • refrigerated pie crust
  • butter
  • granny smith apples
  • powdered sugar
  • salt
  • milk
  • vanilla extract
  • butter

How to make Bite Size Apple Pies:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, set aside one tablespoon to sprinkle on top of pies when finished.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, unroll the pie crust. Brush withtwo tablespoons melted butter and sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.
  3. Cut each sheet into 8one inchstrips.
  4. Wrap one strip around each apple slice, placing sugared side of pastry against apple.
  5. Place on a baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
  6. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar mixture.
  7. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
  8. Whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over pies before serving.

Easy Bite-Sized Apple Pies Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 14 ounces refrigerated pie crust (1 package)
  • 3 Tablespoons melted butter divided
  • 2 granny smith apples each apple cut into 8 wedges

Glaze

  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

  • In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, set aside one tablespoon to sprinkle on top of pies when finished.

  • On a lightly floured surface, unroll the pie crust. Brush withtwo tablespoons melted butter and sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.

  • Cut each sheet into 8one inchstrips (I used a pizza cutter to make cutting the strips really easy).

  • Wrap one strip around each apple slice, placing sugared side of pastry against apple.

  • Place on a baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar mixture.

  • Bake for 13-15 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.

  • Whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over pies before serving.

Notes

  • To cut the pie crust into strips, use a pizza cutter.
  • You can also use pears for this recipe for a delicious twist!
